Terms and Conditions of Participation
This competition is run by Pacojet International AG, Rotkreuz, Switzerland and Gastronaut AS. It is an international challenge covering Italy, Norway, Denmark and Canada. The first round of the challenge is conducted independently in each of those countries.
Entry is open to all professional chefs as well as establishments operating in the hospitality sector.
Prizes, and their announcement and delivery:
The following prizes can be won:
1. Following the application phase, from 28.02.24 to 31.03.24: 3 x participation in the Pacojet Challenge 2024 in Norway, a day of training with Brand Ambassador Pacojet Norway, 4-month trial of the Pacojet 4
2. Upon winning the challenge in Norway, from 08.04.24 to 10.08.24: 1 x Pacojet 4
3. Upon winning the challenge in Norway: Automatic participation in the international cookery competition in Switzerland, the winner of which will be declared the Champion of the Pacojet Challenge 2024.
4. The champion of the Pacojet Challenge 2024 will win:
- Brand ambassador contract with Pacojet International AG valid for 1 year starting after the championship
- Pacojet 4
- Pacojet Challenge 2024 trophy
- Once the deadline for applications has passed, the competitors will be chosen by means of an evaluation of the most convincing candidates.
- Challenge participants will be promptly notified of their participation by means of a separate email. If a competitor does not respond within a week of being requested to do so for the second time, their place shall be taken by another competitor.
- The winner of the Challenge in Norway shall be determined after evaluating the tasks set in the test phase.
- The winner of the Pacojet Challenge 2024 in Switzerland shall be determined by a panel after evaluating the tasks set in the live cookery show.
- Prizes may not be exchanged or collected by the winners themselves, and their equivalent value in cash will not be paid out.
- Gastronaut shall pay any costs associated with shipping the prizes. The winner shall pay any additional costs associated with claiming his/her prize. The winner shall be responsible for any tax owed on the prize.
We will not enter into any correspondence regarding the competition itself or the determination of the ultimate competitors. The judges’ decision is final.
Extension/termination of the competition:
The organizer explicitly reserves the right to extend the competition if not enough applications are received, or to terminate it without prior notice and without stating the reason for doing so. Such reasons include, but are not limited to, circumstances that would disrupt or prevent the organizer's ability to run the competition as planned.
Data protection:
- Personal data must be provided in order to participate in the competition. The competitor warrants that the information he/she provides, including but not limited to his/her first name, surname and email address, is accurate and correct.
- The organizer points out that none of the competitor's personal data will be disclosed to third parties or passed on to the same for their use without the competitor's consent. In the event that the competitor takes part in the Challenge or wins a prize, the winner hereby consents to the publication of his/her name and the name of his/her restaurant in the marketing media used by the organizers Pacojet International AG and Gastronaut AS. This includes publishing the identity of the winner on the owner's websites, social media platforms, newsletters and print media.
- The competitor also agrees that images and videos of the competitor may be created in connection with the competition and published on the owner's websites, social media platforms, newsletters and print media.
- The competitor may withdraw his/her consent at any time. Notice that consent is being withdrawn must be issued in writing to the contact addresses for Pacojet International AG and Gastronaut AS. All personal data relating to the competitor that has been collected and stored shall be deleted without delay once consent has been withdrawn.
Social media disclaimer:
The competition is not linked to Facebook, Instagram or any other social media platforms, and is not sponsored, supported or organized by them in any way.
Applicable law:
Questions or complaints relating to the competition should be addressed to the owners. You can find contact details in the legal notice on the website gastronaut.no. The local challenge is subject to Norway law. The international final cooking competition in Switzerland is subject to Swiss law. The judges' decision is final.
Severability clause:
If a provision of the present terms and conditions of participation is or becomes ineffective, in whole or in part, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The ineffective provision shall be replaced by a legally permissible provision that comes as close as possible to the meaning and purpose expressed by the ineffective provision, from a commercial perspective. The same shall apply in the event of a loophole in the provisions of the present terms and conditions of participation.
